ANTHROPOCENE

From the Himalayas to Tenasserim Hills to Titiwangsa Mountains, nestled in the Sundaland biodiversity hotspot of the tropical and sub-tropical rainforests of Peninsular Malaysia, we discover Food Forest Farm.

Located in the Sundaland biodiversity hotspot, FOOD FOREST FARM has been growing pesticide free fresh vegetables in the rainforest highlands of Titiwangsa Mountains, since 2012.

PROTOCOLS

Permaculture inspired, we use clean Agritech systems, and premium non-GMO and heirloom seeds from Holland and Japan. We set into practice our Nutrient-dense Insecticide Free Sustainable Farming Protocols.

Resilience
Our Farming Protocols are based on knowledgeable and caring plant growth. A healthy and resilient plant is the basic principle underlying our pests and disease management approach.

Clean Environment & Careful Attention
We manage clean and nurturing greenhouse conditions as well as attentive growing media and foliar care throughout the stages of a healthy and resilient plant growth cycle:
Pre-plant,
Nursery,
Transplant,
Growing,
Fruiting.

Pesticide Residue Testing & Brix Testing
We date stamp our Pesticide Residue Testing and Brix Testing at Harvest Day, and perform a self-assessment of our Farming Protocols, based on a farmwide random sampling of crops and greenhouses, on a rotation basis, throughout the year.

Brix Testing is performed, internally, in the morning of Harvest Day, on a regular basis (monthly). When it is time for a periodic pesticide residue sample (every 3 months), some of these leaves are also subject to the Brix test before the sample is sent to the lab. This way we can monitor the Brix levels of the leaves analysed in the lab for the continued absence of pesticide residues.

Premium non-GMO Seeds 
We grow with premium quality non-GMO seeds. 

Our selected seed varieties are thoughtful regarding the suitability and right resistances in our growing climate.

We care for our customers and our fresh produce chain in our considerate selection of the agronomical traits in the seed varieties.
We grow seed varieties with unique and durable traits in taste, appearance, yield, shelf life, and homogeneity.

Energy-efficient Agritech Systems
We deploy energy-efficient Agritech systems to augment our commitment to growing safe, healthy, nutrient-dense and environmentally-mindful food.

We have adapted several Agritech systems such as Autopot, NFT, Drip-to-waste, and we continually strive to innovate and adapt agri-technology in our farming practices.
